Rí Rá opened its doors in grand fashion on St. Patrick's Day 2011, bringing the first-ever traditional Irish Pub to Las Vegas in the Shoppes at Mandalay Place. Complete with smoothly flowing chilled Guinness, an extensive collection of whiskey, and authentic Irish dishes, you'll feel like you've been whisked away to the green island overseas. Its décor is truly genuine, constructed from a pub meticulously restored in Ireland and then shipped to Las Vegas. Many of the pub's fixtures were salvaged from Irish buildings, some dating back to the 19th century. Rí Rá's first location west of the Mississippi looks like it's straight out of a Dublin postcard. Destined to be a hot spot for locals and visitors alike, its name translates as "celebration and good fun, " delivering authentic pub experiences, nightly specials and live entertainment seven nights a week, including traditional Irish sessions and visiting bands direct from Ireland.
Established in 2011.
Crafted in the warm pub style of 19th century Ireland, this authentic Irish pub features a multitude of artifacts carefully restored in Wicklow, Ireland and shipped to their new home in Las Vegas. Rí Rá Las Vegas contains an authentic Victorian Shop bar that began its life in Ireland in the 1880s, a whiskey bar adorned with an original glazed jewelry cabinet from 1900, an oak floor from a whiskey distillery and an 8-foot-tall, 500-pound carved plaster statue of St. Patrick dating back to 1850. The pub hosts live entertainment seven nights a week in a music room constructed with artifacts dating back to 1890 from the Olympia Theater in Dublin, Ireland.
Meet the Business Owner
Cofounders, Ciaran Sheehan and David Kelly, grew up together in Dublin, Ireland and emigrated separately to America, one to pursue a career in design the other in Guinness marketing. They had a vision of bringing to America a place that takes you back in time, the moment you walk through the door, into a cozy and communal atmosphere of a traditional pub 100 years ago in Ireland. This is what David Kelly and Ciaran Sheehan set out to accomplish when they built their first Rí Rá pub in Charlotte, NC in 1997. They set to work in Dublin to meticulously restore the unique Victorian bar in the middle of the Charlotte pub. As the business grew the two befriended and became partners with Jay Luther, an experienced multi-unit operator who now runs Rí Rá Holdings, LLC.
