Established in 1882.
Originally called the Harvey House, the name was changed to the Plymouth Hotel when the Harvey family sold the hotel after the turn of the century. The historic building has always been a hotel/boarding house with a restaurant and bar, and is a landmark building on Plymouth's Main Street.
Since it was purchased by Dianne Walton-St.Francis in 1995, it has undergone some major renovations and upgrades.
The original backbar and bar remain unchanged - to preserve the history.
A beautiful outdoor courtyard has been added - to enjoy outdoor cocktails and/or dining in good weather.
The hotel rooms have been tastefully decorated - each with a different theme - to suit your mood. Guests have access to relax on the spacious Balcony overlooking Main Street or to spend some quiet moments in the Parlor on the main floor or the cozy Library on the third floor.
Meet the Manager
Being raised by an Italian Mother, I learned my way around the kitchen at an early age, and our home was always the fun place to be, with the Player Piano and lots of good food. So many warm and happy memories.
As a young adult I went to work for Playboy as a Bunny, and was immersed in learning more about bartending, waitressing, and hostessing with precision and accuracy.
Being drawn in the direction of the restaurant business, I attended the Great Chef's of France Cooking School in Napa Valley and became acquainted with the Robert Mondavi family. I did private catering for the Mondavi's and worked as a Winery Rep - hosting Winery Dinners and conducting Wine Seminars.
I opened my own catering service in Danville, CA and taught Wine Appreciation classes at St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA.
Loving the Food and Hospitality Business, I have enjoyed renewing this historic building - providing a relaxing atmosphere and offering delicious Café-style food.
