Our kitchen team, run by Head Chef Mike Cummins, produce all our food freshly prepared and cooked to order. We strive to offer traditional pub food with a Brigantes twist using seasonal and locally sourced produce wherever possible as the provenance & traceability behind our menu ingredients is extremely important to Mike and the team.

Here at Brigantes we offer a superb range of 10 hand pulled ales with permanent beers from Black Sheep, Leeds Brewery, Great Heck, Okells and York Brewery. The local support for York beers was evident from day one, plus it certainly hasn’t got far to travel – you can’t get much more of a local brewery than one which is literally in your back yard! We always have a dark ale available as well.
Our bottled beer selection offers a considered edit of the finest craft, keg & fruit beers around as well as an excellent wine list. Kev Jones our Tavern Manager is a bona fide beer expert so please feel free to ask at the bar for beer suggestions or to try one of our third of pint beer paddles.
