Well, at least comedian Will Ferrell is familiar with a pitcher's mound..
The actor, who has starred in plenty of sports movies, including "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, " "Semi-Pro, " "Blades of Glory" and "Kicking & Screaming, " has in the Phoenix area, the earliest reportedly beginning at 3 p.m.
Although Ferrell has pulled plenty of stunts like this before and has a new movie — "Get Hard" — to promote, that the 47-year-old is actually part of a cancer awareness event coordinated by MLB and HBO, which is filming a special.
The White Sox announced that Thursday's spring training game would be moved to 4:05 p.m. local time to accomodate the event — and perhaps to make the logistics of Ferrell's Arizona ballpark tour a bit easier.
The team added that four other stadiums would take part in the live taping, meaning the comedian might be making five separate appearances.
